Somehow I have become a Swifty in the last few years.

I like what she says about writing and telling your story.

Legacy is something that has been on my mind as a 40 something woman with no children. There’s not really anyone I have lined up to leave anything to when I’m no longer needed in this world, and no immediate people in my circles that I have to pass stories or knowledge on to.

I think about getting older and managing my life when I can’t do it on my own, and I have no fantasies that my circle will be that much larger than it is now.

I do find some purpose from writing and putting some things out into the world. Beyond this little blog corner of the web I’ve been writing stories, poetry and even putting my music degree to use.
